Maize Plant Discipleship is a learning resource of approximately 60 scripturally-based studies, designed to be practical, relevant and accessible for use in African contexts. It has been derived and road-tested in collaboration with African leaders and learners. It has been formulated in response to doctoral research conducted in Burkina Faso, West Africa. It is being published as a syllabus of short, modular studies:
- tailored to small learning groups;
- incorporating reflective group discussions;
- suitable for formal and informal study;
- linguistically accessible;
- economically replicable.
Maize Plant Discipleship is designed to be delivered by local facilitators, who have freely-licenced access to use, distribute and republish Maize Plant Discipleship resources, both printed and digital. To equip local and regional facilitators, MPD Facilitators Training is being provided by a free online e-learning course.
